SGKBK Samajam requires funds for conducting Thadiyarathanai to visiting pilgrims and also to build its own premises. A plot of land measuring about 5000 sqft was purchased at Kondapalayam, Sholingur for the purpose of construction of the Samajam premises to serve as as resting room, office, kitchen & Thadiyaradhanai hall for the visiting pilgrims. This plot of land faces both the hill temples and is located adjacent to Guruswamy Bungalow on Pandavatheertham Road.
The Bhoomi Pooja for the building construction was conducted on November 24th 2011 through the auspices of Brihaspathi Sriman Vasudeva Iyengar of Kondapalayam, Sholinghur.Subsequently watchman quarters was erected, water sump was installed and borewell was drilled in 2012.
There has been a sharp increase in cost of cement, steel, construction materials and labour costs over last few years. The building construction is expected to cost over Rs.Fifty Lakhs as per latest estimates. Digging for laying of foundation is expected to start on January 25th, 2013. Samajam is in urgent need of funds to ensure that construction work proceeds smoothly without any hindrances.
